It’s hard to be eco friendly at a festival, but we can help!
- Save thousands of non recyclable wet wipes and film
- Eradicates the need for shower generators
- Reduces hundreds of thousands of litres of water waste
- No digging up and risking chemical over spill from shower facilities.
- Made in the UK, reducing carbon footprint of importing via sea and air freight
- Made from multi-use most widely recyclable plastic HDPE – not PET (no aerosols)
- Provides privacy for children, allowing you to wash from the comfort of your tent.
- Water based – no gels, or harsh chemicals, vegan friendly and endorsed cruelty free.
PS we are campaigning this year for festivals to put more recycling point in! As even if you try and make a bio-plastic they have to be in certain conditions to decompose 🙁
Pits and Bits is a water based, eco friendly “towel off” shampoo and “towel off” body wash, which allows you to wash effectively and easily from the comfort of your tent. Easily removing mud, sweat and odours. Just apply directly to the skin or hair, massage to lift dirt into the kind and gentle solution, then remove by towel drying.
We try and be as Eco friendly as possible and always looking for viable ways to improve! Have a look at our Updated FAQ’s

It’s National Picnic Week 16th June – 25th June, and outside the barbecue, a picnic is one of the outdoor families greatest friends. So where is a great place to have the family picnic? A garden is the obvious choice. Parks are often overcrowded at this time of year, but here are some gems that could be great – woodland walkways often have a clearing or through field. A local hill that no one wants to climb to the top of or near a river, we all have the local stream that is often forgotten. These are ideal spots for a more peaceful picnic.
We are fortunate to be based in the cotswolds and have such amazing beautiful area’s to picnic. Here is So Glos’ top picnic area’s: http://www.soglos.com/food/38933/16-of-the-best-picnic-spots-in-Gloucestershire
We are very proud that one of our team members Pete is partaking in a charity bike ride from Aberystwyth and ending up in Cardiff 160 miles and a few hills later!
The Charity is Princes Gate Trust, a true champion of disadvantaged children and their families. Here is Pete at the end of day 1.

Destination Everest EXPEDITION
When she’s not saving lives, ace Firefighters Lucy Mcloud is adventuring! Joel (Intrepid Events) met Lucy on an advanced medical course near Wales recently where amongst a group of ex-military guys she was a clear leader and inspirational character. We can’t wait to see her on the The Great Escape this summer and I’m certain she’ll give the guards a run for their Deutsche Mark. Lucy recently returned from an Everest where she used the same Pits and Bits waterless body wash we are using on the Great Escape. Not content with mere expedition rambles she got engaged on the slopes of Everest too!
